Hi, I’m Dan Bruse, a physical therapist and the Co-founder of South Central Therapies, inc. While I was born in Salt Lake City, Central Utah has been home for over 30 years. It’s where I’ve raised my family, built lasting relationships, and created a career rooted in serving the community I love.
At South Central Therapies, we treat patients of all ages—from young athletes to their grandparents. Our clinics specialize in orthopedic injuries, post-operative care, back and joint pain, headaches, sports rehab, geriatric therapy, balance and vestibular issues, and overall wellness training. Whether you’re recovering from surgery or just want to move and feel better, we’re here to help you reach your goals with compassionate, personalized care.
When I’m not in the clinic, I love fly fishing in our local mountain streams or spending time in a float tube on quiet lakes. My wife, Stephanie, and I enjoy gardening, traveling, and, most recently, cherishing time with our growing crew of grandchildren. We’ve built a beautiful life here in Central Utah, and it’s an honor to give back to the community that’s given us so much.
Whether you’re just starting your journey to better health or looking for ongoing support, we’re here for you—every step of the way.I am the proud father of 5 children and one grandchild.  I have a home in the South Sevier area and have been involved in a country/rock band “Borderline” for the last 20 years playing for many weddings, county fairs, Christmas parties, and work parties.  I have also been privileged to sing in some of my dear patients and friends funerals.  I love this area I call home and the people who live here.

Born in Salina Utah at the old hospital and raised in Koosharem Utah, I have spent most of my life in Sevier County.  I first got interested in Physical Therapy as a young man while helping my dad with farming.  He had injured his back and was unable to help farm which placed the majority of the work load on me.  After trying a variety of medical treatments for his pain, my father was referred to Physical Therapy.  I soon noticed it helping and within the month he was back and able to help me with the farming duties.  This made a very favorable impression on me.  I started my education at Utah Valley Community College and after graduating from there I went on to The University of Utah to work on furthering my education towards Physical Therapy.  I was accepted at the University of Health Sciences Chicago Medical School in the fall of 1989 and graduated with the class of 1992 as a Physical Therapist.  I spent my first year working in Salt Lake City Utah as the manager of Physical Therapy at a skilled nursing facility.  In 1993 I accepted a position with Central Utah Physical Therapy in Richfield Utah, and worked with Bob Jepson PT and Jeffrey Thalman PT for the next 15 years.  I spent one year in Las Vegas  Nevada as director of Rehab Services at Summerlin Hospital on the west side of the city.  While there I was over a large staff in a hospital setting which provided Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy in an acute, rehab, and long term setting.  In 2008 myself, Dan Bruse PT, and James Jorgensen OT, purchased part of what was then Central Utah Physical Therapy.  Our new formed corporation, South Central Therapies Inc. now provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in the rehab facility Stonehenge of Richfield.  We also have Outpatient clinics in Salina and Monroe Utah which provide Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services.  We see Home Health Patients for At Home Care Inc., Intermountain Home Care Inc., and Gunnison Valley Home Care Inc.  We provide Occupational Therapy services for Sevier and Piute School Districts.
I am the proud father of 5 children and one grandchild.

I was born in Richfield, Utah, and I have lived here most of my life.  My father had his own business in the community for 50+ years.  I worked in that business and experienced the reward of making many people’s lives better for their families.  I enjoyed making lasting friendships with many people in the community.
I attended Brigham Young University for undergraduate study in exercise physiology.  Having been involved in sports and interested in the human body all my life, I chose to pursue a career in the profession of Occupational Therapy.  I met my wife, Kristi, while attending BYU.  Following graduation from Brigham Young University, Kristi and I moved with our first child to California to study Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University.  In 1996, after graduation from Loma Linda University, we made our way back to Richfield to rear our family in this great community.  I began work with Bob Jepson and Jeff Thalman in their therapy practice in Richfield and the surrounding communities.  I provide occupational therapy with South Central Therapies, Stonehenge, the local hospital, and home health.
Kristi and I now have 6 wonderful children who are involved in many activities with school, college, friends, church, and at home.   Life is busy and we enjoy interaction we have with members of the community in sports, religion, biking, hiking, running, and other community events.

I was born in Gunnison, grew up in Salina, and am a graduate of Richfield High School.  I received my Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Provo College.  I have been employed with South Central Therapies sense 2009 and enjoy working with the other therapists in the Salina and Monroe Clinics.  I also really enjoy working with all the patients at the Stonehenge of Richfield facility.  I also am able to help treat those patients who need it in their homes.
I have been married to my wife Ashley who is from Koosharem for 10 years and have 2 little boys Grady who is 6 and Easton who is 2.  I spend as much time as possible in the outdoors doing whatever I can with my family, camping, and riding 4-wheelers.  I really enjoy hunting whatever and whenever I am able whether it is with a bow, muzzleloader, rifle, or just a camera and spotting scope.
My wife and I love this small community, living and raising a family where we were raised has always been a priority in our lives.  I hope I am able to serve and help those that need it with rehabilitation to improve their lives.

I was born and lived much of my early life in Houston Texas.  My family moved to Utah when I was 9 years old.  After graduating from Kearns High School I joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves for 6 years.  During that time I married the love of my life Dan.  Soon after our joyous union we moved to Chicago where Dan was pursuing his degree in Physical Therapy.  I put off my education while I worked like an indentured servant to put my man through school.  We returned to Salt Lake City in 1992 which is when I began to pursue my degree in Occupational Therapy at the Salt Lake Community College.  Following my graduation I continued my indentured servitude as a wife and home maker and worked with Central Utah Physical Therapy in the Sevier School District.  I also worked for a number of years with many dear friends at the Richfield Care Center.  When Stonehenge of Richfield was completed I began to work there and have been employed there since that time.  Dan and I are the parents of 5 beautiful children.  I spend my free time pursing my hobbies of Quilting, cooking, raising chickens, gardening, bottling and crafting.

I grew up in Highland Utah.  I have a twin sister and a younger brother.  I love being an Aunt.   I went to school at UVCC (UVSC) for my Associates degree.   Then went to BYU and got my Bachelors of Science with Physical Therapy Emphasis.  Then I found myself in Pocatello, Idaho and went to Idaho State University where I received my Masters of Health Education and my Associate degree as Physical Therapist Assistant.
I started working as Physical Therapist Assistant in Home Health for a short time.   After this I started working as a traveling PTA for 2-3 years, I had assignments in Washington and Texas.   I enjoyed the experience of seeing and exploring new places, and meeting new people, still have friends in Texas from my last assignment.   My family convinced me it was time to settle down, and I started working here with South Central Therapies, in October 2012, and have been here for a year now.    I live here in Richfield, Utah now and have enjoyed my new job, people I have met here, and the more rural atmosphere.
I enjoy exercising,  running,  strength/weight training,  riding my bike,  boot camp, and other activities, if you can’t find me I am more likely at the gym.   I enjoy spending time with my family going on vacations, camping, playing games, spending the holidays together, and other recreational activities.   I like watching sports, especially soccer, basketball, and the Olympics.  I played Junior Varsity Soccer in High School and loved it.  I also enjoy spending time with friends.  I like to read and learn about anything health or exercise related.
